Behavior Therapist

Sallyz Applied Behavior Services is seeking Part-Time ABA Behavior Therapists to join our team! Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst(BCBA), you will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans(developed by supervising BCBA) to children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders in their home. We are looking for self-motivated, passionate, and dependable staff to help us make a difference in a child’s life!

Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans developed by BCBA to promote skill acquisition and decrease interfering behaviors.
  • Learn and apply ABA therapeutic approaches to working with the client
  • Actively participate in the implementation of baseline, treatment, parent training and generalization sessions.
  • Remain enthusiastically and actively engaged with the client during the ABA session
  • Carry out clinical and administrative tasks such as data collection and progress notes
  • Work both cooperatively with a team of support staff and independently as needed
  • Communicate professionally with family, team and supervisors
  • Attend trainings to meet the needs of the client.
  • Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
  • Protect the confidentiality of the child and family
Qualifications
  • At least two years ABA experience preferred
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree(preferably in a behavioral health field)
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

All staff are supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst(BCBA). All programs, treatment plans and interventions are written by licensed supervisors. The goal of Sallyz ABA  is to provide our technicians with the tools they need to implement successful interventions to address behaviors in the home and community.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing) in the course of working with children with developmental disabilities and severe behavior problems.
  • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication
  • Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Must be physically present at the assigned job site.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Sallyz ABA is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst(BCBA) with experience working with individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders to join our team as we make positive changes to the lives of children and their families.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Required Education, Certification, and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or other related field.
  • BCBA certificate in good standing
  • CT BCBA License
  • At least one year experience working with individuals diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum disorder and their families.

Position Qualifications:

  • Must obtain Connecticut Behavior Analyst license prior to start date
  • Must have thorough knowledge of and experience working with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Job Responsibilities

Submit required documentation for prior authorizations

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments
  • Design and implement treatment plans
  • Monitor treatment progress
  • Assist with team member training, mentoring, and supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s).
  • Collaborate and communicate with client’s family, caregivers, and other service providers as appropriate
  • Provide direct services to clients and their families
  • Meet with clinical staff regularly to review progress
  • Document progress notes, reports, and other updates on a routine basis.
  • Attend regularly scheduled clinical meetings.
  • Adhere to ethical standards in HIPAA and BCBA code of ethics.
